Website Banners from the Early Web Era (1995-2000)
A Nostalgic Look at Early Internet Design
In the early years of the internet, personal websites often used small graphic banners to promote their content
and
to exchange links with like-minded sites. Between 1995 and 2000, these banners became a recognizable part of the
early web: simple designs, limited colors, and clear messages created to fit the technical limitations of the
time.
On this page, I have preserved several original website banners created for my own site and for mutual link
exchanges during that period. They reflect the visual style and spirit of the early internet, when collecting,
sharing knowledge, and connecting with others was the main goalβlong before modern social media and search engines
existed.
Today, these banners are shown again purely out of nostalgia and as a small digital archive of early web culture.
They serve as a reminder of how personal websites were built and promoted in the first generation of the World
Wide
Web.
Although old you can still use them if you want.
